Spring Hill Man Charged with Possession of Child Porn

SPRING HILL – A Spring Hill man is charged with being in possession of child pornography after a three-month investigation, say officials.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, detectives received a tip in late February of this year that a suspect residing at 4112 Ramona Drive may have downloaded child pornography onto his electronic devices.

Detectives executed a search warrant early earlier today and placed 62-year-old Alexander Esquivel into custody.

The investigation uncovered 4 images of child sexual abuse material.

Esquivel was booked into the Hernando County Jail where he is currently held without bond.

Earlier this month, two men were arrested in Hernando County after attempting to meet who they thought was a 14-year-old boy for sex.
