BROOKSVILLE - Two suspects charged in connection with last week's home invasion robbery and fatal shooting have been booked into the Hernando County Jail.

19-year-old Landon Runyon is suspected of firing a weapon inside a residence on Marquette Street during an attempted robbery last Wednesday. Investigators say when they located Runyon, he was nearly unrecognizable due to swelling from a gunshot wound to the face.

Runyon is charged with First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder, and Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling.

22-year-old Jazier Martinez has also been booked into the Hernando County Jail on First Degree Murder and First Degree Attempted Murder charges. Martinez is the suspect officials say was engaging in a sexual act with the victim and initiated the robbery. Martinez was uninjured during the robbery.

A third suspect, 20-year-old Dawson Destin fled to Kentucky and was hospitalized after suffering a gunshot to the stomach. It is unknown when he will be transported back to Hernando County.

A 25-year-old woman was shot and killed during the robbery. Her younger sister was also shot but her condition is unknown at this time.
