At Least One Injured in Violent Attack Inside Convenience Store

SPRING HILL – One person is in custody after a man walked into a convenience store on Spring Hill Drive and randomly attacked patrons.

Sources say the suspect walked into the Circle K, located at Spring Hill Drive and Mariner Blvd, and punched at least one person in the face. He also jumped over the counter and attempted to attack several other people.

The Suspect fled the scene, and a search began around nearby residences.

During the search, several residents reported seeing the suspect attempting to open car doors.

Eventually, deputies observed the suspect sitting on a park bench in front of the Spring Hill Library on Spring Hill Drive.

When a deputy tried to make contact with the suspect, he attempted to flee on a bicycle. To prevent the suspect from being struck by a vehicle, the deputy tacked him and waited for backup.
