8 Dead, 40 Injured in Bus Crash Carrying Migrant Workers

OCALA – At least 8 people are confirmed dead and 40 injured in a horrific bus crash earlier this morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a collision occurred between a bus transporting 53 migrant workers and a Ford Ranger on SR-40 at SW 148 Ct.

Officials say the two vehicles side-swiped, causing the bust to veer off the road and overturn.

The crash remains under investigation.
