Numerous Vehicles Damaged in DUI Hit and Run Crash

SPRING HILL – A Spring Hill man is behind bars this evening after officials say he crashed into five vehicles in the area of Spring Hill Drive and Mariner Blvd on Wednesday.

According to reports, deputies responded to the four corners area around 5:45 p.m. after reports of a hit and run. Officials say 43-year-old Jonathan Pudelek rear-ended a vehicle at the intersection and then struck a second vehicle while attempting to drive away. Pudelek then struck two guy wires and three vehicles that were parked in the CVS parking lot.

During an investigation, deputies determined that Pudelek was under the influence of methamphetamine. A glass pipe and trace amounts of meth were discovered in his vehicle.

There are no injuries reported by officials.

Pudelek was booked into the Hernando County Jail on charges of DUI, Hit and Run, Driving without a License, Reckless Driving, and Possession of Methamphetamine/Paraphernalia.

Pedulek remains behind bars on a $9,500 bond.
