Firefighters Prevent Vehicle Fire from Spreading to Homes

BROOKSVILLE – Firefighters responded to the 6000 block of Cartwrite Road this evening after a vehicle fire threatened nearby residential structures.

According to Hernando County Fire Rescue, firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle fire spreading to adjacent scrap piles on the property. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to a residence on the property and the nearby Silverthorn Community.

Officials say there were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
