16-year-old Charged in Brutal Stabbing During Altercation

WEEKI WACHEE – Yesterday, R News broke the news of a stabbing that occurred on Sturbridge Court in the Heather subdivision. What was not initially reported was that the suspects and victim were juveniles.

According to officials, Sheriff's Deputies converged in the area of Sturbridge Court just after 5:00 p.m. Monday, after a male juvenile suffered multiple stab wounds.

Fire Rescue treated the victim and transported him to a trauma center in critical condition. His current condition is unknown.

Officials say 16-year-old Adam Biley joined his friend and co-defendant in a prearranged fight with another former friend on Sturbridge Court. When the vehicle arrived on the scene, there was a group of four other teens with the victim.

The victim and second suspect began fighting but Biley eventually joined in and began stabbing the victim. Once the victim was on the ground, the other suspect continued punching the victim.

Biley turned his attention to a female juvenile who was video recording the incident and began threatening to stab her while making slashing and stabbing motions.

Both suspects fled the scene but were eventually located and taken into custody.

During the investigation, Biley told detectives that he was afraid because they were being ambushed and that it was five against one. He claimed that the stabbing was in self-defense.

Biley is charged with Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

He is currently held at the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center.

Officials did not release the identity of the second suspect due to his charges being 2-counts of misdemeanor Battery. He was released to his parents pending the outcome of the charges.
