Amazon Driver Arrested in Spring Hill Dognapping Case

TAMPA – The case of the stolen dog has finally come to a close, after the Hernando County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested an Amazon driver accused of the theft that took place last year.

Two days before Christmas, Nichole Exline told R News that her beloved French Bulldog, Kali, had been taken by a temporary Amazon driver. Her suspicions grew after watching video of the suspect delivering a package to her door at the same time of Kali's disappearance. She became more confident in who was to blame after neighbors reported observing the suspect place the dog in his car and leave the area. Click Here for Full Story

On January 16th, Hernando County Sheriff's Office detectives met with the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Reinier Revilla at his home in Tampa, where they located the missing dog. Kali was immediately returned to Exline and her family and appeared to be in good health.

Today, officials announced the arrest of Revilla, after he turned himself in at the Hillsborough County Jail on January 19th.

Revilla is charged with one count of Grand Theft and was released on a $5,000 bond.

Amazon has not commented on Revilla's arrest.
