Fire Destroys Mobile Home, Several Cats Perish

BROOKSVILLE – Firefighters responded to an early morning structure fire inside the Brookridge Mobile Home Community that claimed the lives of several cats.

Upon arrival at the 8000 block of Morelli Ave, firefighters discovered a fully involved mobile home.

All occupants escaped without injury, but three cats perished in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
