Hudson Man Faces First Degree Murder Charge for Selling Fatal Dose of Fentanyl

BROOKSVILLE – A Hudson man is behind bars in Hernando County for First Degree Murder after officials say he provided a deadly dose of fentanyl to an acquaintance last year.

According to official reports, on June 29, 2023, 38-year-old Aaron Clark was contacted by 40-year-old Robert Scott Fowler who asked Clark to provide him with "Fetty Wap" (Fentanyl). Fowler told Clark that he was bored from being on house arrest and was looking to get high.

Later that day, Clark met with Fowler and sold him $50 worth of fentanyl. Later that evening, Fowler sent a text message to Clark stating, "It definitely works Brodius." Clark replied "Yessir!"

At around 10:26 a.m. the next day, Fowler's parents, with whom he resided, discovered Fowler deceased inside his bedroom with a capped syringe and clear baggy that later tested positive for fentanyl. Investigators also found Fowler's cell phone and placed it into evidence.

In October of 2023, the medical examiner provided investigators with a toxicology report that confirmed Fowler had died from Fentanyl intoxication.

On November 16, 2023, Clark agreed to meet with investigators at a Bakery Outlet in Hudson. During the interview, Clark admitted to selling the drugs to Fowler and that he engaged in the text conversation regarding the sale.

On January 2, 2023, detectives arrested Clark and charged him with First Degree Murder and Using a 2-way Device to Facilitate a Felony.

Clark is currently held without bond at the Hernando County Jail.
