Search for "Significant Other" Underway After Woman's Body Discovered in Weeki Wachee

WEEKI WACHEE – Yesterday, R News reported the discovery of a woman's body who was found inside a residence on Darts Street.

Today, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office released a statement regarding the investigation.

According to officials, at approximately 3:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence on Darts Street, regarding a possible Missing Person.

Upon arrival, deputies met with family members outside the residence in question. Family members told deputies they were contacted by a friend of one of the residents. The friend was concerned, as she had not seen the victim in several days. Family members then responded to the residence.

Deputies gained access to the residence and found the victim, an adult female, in a bedroom. Officials say the victim was obviously deceased, as she was in the advanced stages of decomposition. Detectives also determined the circumstances surrounding the death to be suspicious. There are unconfirmed reports that the "suspicious circumstances" may have been that the victim was covered or wrapped in plastic, however, officials have not confirmed that information.

Through their investigation, detectives revealed that the victim's significant other 23-year-old Shauna Urive was missing and that the victim's 2005 silver Pontiac Grand Am was also gone.

Urive has been entered as a Missing Endangered Person, as they are unable to confirm her well-being.

An autopsy will be performed on the victim to determine the cause of death.

We will bring more on this story as it develops.
