Victim of Alleged Kidnapping Escapes, Suspect Taken Into Custody

HUDSON – Hernando and Pasco County Deputies are investigating a possible kidnapping that occurred just minutes ago.

According to sources, Hernando County Deputies responded to US-19 in Spring Hill, after reports that a woman was being held against her will inside a pickup truck. Deputies soon located the alleged victim, who was dropped off on US-19 in the area of Spring Hill Drive. The suspect fled the scene but was quickly spotted crossing into Pasco County. Hernando County Deputies traveled into Pasco County and conducted a traffic stop on the suspect's black F-150 pickup truck on US-19 at Little Road. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and an investigation is currently underway.

Though shaken, the victim did not appear to be injured, according to sources.
