Truck Collides with Waterfront Business, Tree, Other Vehicles

HUDSON – A popular waterfront night spot along had an unwelcome guest, last night, after a pickup truck plowed into the front entrance.

Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol say a 45-year-old man was traveling northbound on Old Dixie Hwy, south of Nowiki Ave, when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle departed the roadway, ran over a parked Harley Davidson, and the struck the front of the Fisherman's Shack, located at 14159 Old Dixie Hwy. The truck then struck tree and overturned onto a parked Buick Enclave.

There were no injuries reported, say officials.
