Motorcycle Crash Kills Passenger, Critically Injures Driver

NEW PORT RICHEY – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred earlier this evening.
According to officials, a 43-year-old Hudson man and a 49-year-old female passenger were traveling on a motorcycle eastbound on Massachusetts Ave, approaching Little Road. At the same time, the driver of a sedan was turning left from Little Road onto Massachusetts Ave under a green arrow. The motorcycle driver failed to stop for a red light and collided with the sedan. Both occupants were ejected onto the roadway, leaving the driver in critical condition. The passenger was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.
