OXFORD, FL – Two people were injured in an early morning crash involving a Sumter County school bus.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a school bus driven by a 50-year-old Wildwood woman was traveling southbound on CR-223, approaching CR-222. A 68-year-old Bushnell woman was traveling eastbound on CR-222, when she failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by the school bus.
Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for treatment, with the 68-year-old woman suffering serious injuries.
None of the 14 students were injured in the collision.
